A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS.........Share

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

~Take a moment and be thankful for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them.
Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without them.

I'm a clumsy person. Those of you that know me in RL know this is
true. Today, I was trying to get a cobweb off the ceiling with a swiffer
extender, (I manage a house cleaning company for a living) took a step backwards, not realizing my vaccuumer had set the vaccuum
behind me.I tripped over the vaccuum, twisted to try to catch myself and slammed
my rib-cage into the corner of a glass table. Like I said, Owww.
Not the stupidest thing I've done at work though. As Rivendellrose can tell you because
she worked with me one summer before college, I once fell down the same customer's stairs
2 weeks in a row! Amazing, huh? ;D

My sinuses and allergies have gotten so out of control this year
I have been miserable, so I finally listened to my Doctor (go figure, huh?)
and bought a Neti Pot to go with my Flonase.
I have to say if any of you (Rivendellrose, I know you do) have sinus and allergy issues
you will not believe what a difference using the Neti pot
every morning has made in my life! Only takes a couple minutes, and I immediately feel so much better!
I you are having problems, I'd highly suggest you give it a try, it's cheap, and
wow, does it work!

Going to a friends house today for Sangria Sunday.
Whee, I love it. It's beautiful here in Seattle, but
I would really appreciate some cooler temperatures.
Maybe even a little rain? Just sayin.

I am so saddened by the death of Michael Jackson.
What a tortured life he led. Yes, he was weird, yes
a freak even, but can you imagine growing up in the way he did?
I will always feel sad for his child self.
That said, goodbye to one of the most talented people in the world.
Michael, thank you for all the wonderful music, and may you now,
finally, find peace.
You will be missed.

So yesterday I ran the Furry 5K run which benefits the Seattle Humane Society.
So many darling dogs! I can't even begin to guess how many dogs I saw yesterday. Every breed imaginable! I had so much fun, and actually, even being distracted by so many darling puppies, I didn't do too terribly considering I only started running a few weeks ago. It was at Seward Park which is really a pretty park, I hadn't been there in years. Half point of the run is a BIIIG hill which I walked up. I knew I couldn't run it.
This poor bulldog who was chubby, even for a bulldog, was with his Mommy and she was dragging him up the hill, and about midpoint, he just went "SPLAT" all 4 legs akimbo,
and he was NOT getting back up. He was soo cute, but I felt so bad for him, you can't take a chubby bulldog on a run like that. So cute though. I wish you could have all seen this beautiful black great dane running. It was like watching a thoroughbred horse...beautiful.
My time was 37 minutes and 29 seconds which, like I said isn't amazing, but, I did
pretty good for a 50 year old just starting out.
The man who came in first finished in 16 minutes and 50 seconds, and I bow down to him,
for he is amazing.
In other news, had my physical (except for mammogram, which I must make appointment for)
and I need to go finish the payroll at some point soon.
Butm yeah....I ran, and I finished. I might be getting the hang of this.
Next weekend (sunday) I'm doing the Roman Meal 12K walk.

Happy Easter to my friends who celebrate!
Went to a new church last night, and enjoyed it, then to dinner with my
family to Powerhouse resteraunt.
It was a fun day today, spent with my folks at the casino,
then home to do payroll for the week and other various
Bizzy Broom chores.
WAY too much food has been involved in the last week and a half. Ugh.

Yesterday I was on the computer doing some stuff, and I reached down to
move the mouse, and OUCH! My mouse bit me! I looked down at the mouse,
and sitting there on it, is a bee! Right here in the house, on my mouse,
during winter! Go figure. Huh.

They were saying on the news last night that it was going to
snow. I get so sick of them sensationalising everything.
Well DAMN if it didn't snow! It's so beautiful, but
this is sure a goofy year for the Pacific Northwest.

I hadn't worked out in about 3 1/2 weeks due to sciatica and a bad sinus/ear and bronchitis thing that was going on. when I'm not working out it makes me want to eat bad too. Just a few days ago started
with my workouts again. I've been doing my 4 mile super walk with Leslie
Sandsone (walk away the pounds), and it's amazing how much better I feel and eat when I care enough about my self to exercise.
Feeling so much better...Yay!
